TKL Consulting was incorporated in Singapore in Feb 2002 as a sole-proprietorship concern. It is a management consultancy firm in venture capital industry. The principal activities of the company are across-border joint venture business in Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, China, India and Australia.

The founder and owner Mr. Tan Kok Leong is a graduate of University of Singapore in 1966 who major in Economics and Chinese Language & Literature. After graduation, Mr. Tan attended the course of postgraduate economics in University of Sydney in the year 1969/70 after working in civil service namely Economic Planning Unit and Trade Division  for about 2 and a half years. He later joined a local listed bank, Overseas Union Bank Ltd for 3 decades mainly in credit management. Mr Tan is married with a son and daughter both are also graduates of University of Singapore, major in mathematics and economics with distinction.

Mr Tan Kok Leong is also a regular business commentator. He has from time to time written articles commenting on social, corporate, & economic issues in Singapore. These articles were published in Views From the Top, The Business Times  from year 2005 to January 2012. Apart from his management consultancy business and being an active business commentator  TKL also spent considerably time and effort in research and development of a global social media-marketing platform in Facebook for use of all free, this started about a year before Facebook launched its IPO in public on the New York Stock Exchange.

The global social media marketing platform is unique as its theme RISING ASIA traces the sources of influence of rising Asia from the West, mainly from factors like politics, economics, technology, trade, products and services, banking and finance, culture etc. It is also the mission of the platform to introduce Asian political leaders and key business personalities and corporates, Asian market and business opportunities, products & services, and Asian culture to the rest of the world.
